The "Poitiers" gambeson is a particularly mobile padded jacket featuring detachable sleeves and beautiful cowhide leather reinforcement strips on the seams. The design is modeled after padded jackets from the 14th century. This makes the "Poitiers" gambeson the ideal choice for realistic reenactments and demanding combat roles.

Design & Style

The design is characterized by reinforcement strips made of cowhide leather. Nestelcord laces with brass tips serve as the jacket's closure and provide a functional, beautiful eye-catcher. The gambeson is excellently suited for historical depictions of the 14th and early 15th centuries. In combination with finely decorated belt gear, this jacket quickly becomes the centerpiece of a cohesive kit. Combine the "Poitiers" gambeson with armor and leather goods typical of this period to achieve an especially authentic look.
