PR Larp presentation:
PR LARP is the first Puertorrican LARP in over 20 years, and the first of its kind. While there had been other LARP groups on our island before, those were more similar to American battlegames. For the last 3 years, our mission has been to bring a more immersive experience to Puerto Rico, encouraging the use of latex props, historically-inspired garb and well-fitted armor.
As the island's pioneers, our mission has been to build a strong cultural foundation for LARP in Puerto Rico, and to provide the experiences with which people dream of. We promote values of fair play, strong safety standards and camaraderie.

Our events typically take place on the second Saturday of every month. Where we get anywhere between 50 to 70 participants. We host them at El Jardín Botánico de Río Piedras.
A large beautiful garden that serves the city of San Juan as a scientific research center, socio-cultural place to gather, and is owned by the University of Puerto Rico. So far, all ourevents have been one day long. But we would love to extend them into overnight events at some point.
Our game takes place in a world named Telronea. A world between worlds, that serves as a great bridge to a larger multiverse. Whoever controls Telronea wields great power, thus it is often in conflict between different factions that want to control it or liberate it. This leads us into having a factions game that is Player vs Player. Where every session starts with an introductive narrative, followed by political negotiations, alliances, and finally a series of battles with secondary non-combat objectives.
At this time, there are 6 factions called guilds. They are:
-The Red Tailed Hawks, A group of Paladins seeking to be the heroes the world needs
-The Scarlet Roses, A young nobleman and his retainers looking for adventure and opportunities in Telronea
-The Phoenix's Nest, A militant order led by a religious leader, seeking to establish peace and order
-The Griffin's Command, An army seeking to gather the pieces of a fallen empire into a new government
-Domus Sanguinis, A cult that worships a goddess of carnage
-Elenhir, En elven covenant trying to reclaim lost lands in Telronea
PR Larp Mission:
One of our goals has been to build a culture that values practical kits that work for our tropical environment. From day one, we've gotten mentorship from some of our island's historical reenactors in order to learn about historical clothing, arms and armor. Thanks to them, we've learned to value the use of correctly designed equipment that works for our climate. This is why we love Freyhand's products, as they have the perfect mix of historical accuracy, practicality and affordability.
Being in Puerto Rico does present special challenges for our hobby. Temperatures are normally between 23°-44° C. Which makes layering difficult, especially when it comes to putting on armor. While we do encourage the use of lighter materials for undergarments such as linen, and for people to take their time building a good quality kit; not everyone is able to afford it. Puerto Rico's economy is not as great as other countries. So spending thousands of dollars on equipment is a big commitment. Thus while we encourage all these things, we keep a relaxed policy on garb, allowing people to come to our events even in sports clothing.
